We decided to hang at the beach today. We drove a few miles down the road to the madness that is Manuel Antonio National Park and beach. It is impossible to get anywhere near the park because there are tourists and scammers everywhere. We decided that we needed a day of doing nothing so we relaxed by our private pool at the house today. We are tucked into the jungle here so monkeys and birds and lizards come by throughout the day. There are two types of monkeys. The white faced monkeys and squirrel monkeys. We were lucky enough o see them both today. Eric and I were up first and pretty hungry so we went down to the courtyard and enjoyed a really nice breakfast and then went to sit by the pool and wait for Ryan and Clarice. Ryan and Clarice arrived in San Jose around noon and caught a taxi to our hotel which was about a 10 minute drive. They spent the afternoon relaxing at the resort and both managed to book themselves in for massages. The plan was for them to have dinner and wait up for Eric and I to arrive.
