This ticket says it all- New York is the centre of the world!! I have 4 days left here and am making sure I have seen and done everything I wanted to. I also managed to buy 2 more pairs of shoes! The box I am posting home is going to cost a fortune! Managed to get to the hairdresser today so that was a great relief! Have been busy shopping( 4 pairs of shoes - yeah!) museum visiting, theatre viewing, lots of walking tours - really enjoying myself. Have cooked a lot of dinners in the apartment- very convenient! There is a grocery shop right around the corner so very easy! And a bottle shop across the road- everything I need! I am here for 1 more week and still have lots more things to do and see.

A coconut and lemon cupcake! Delicious! Yesterday was 25 which was delightful after 2 days of terrible rain. I thought I would spend the day in a museum but so did hundreds of others! So I went shopping instead.

Spent a wonderful afternoon in Central Park - doing a guided walking tour and then wandering around on my own. Hard to believe that was only 2 days ago as it has rained here ever since! Spent yesterday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art - as did a lot of other people!! Today I went to a Broadway play starring Toni Collette, which was very good. Got very wet getting there and getting home so I will be staying in and cooking dinner tonight!

Spectacular sights at the Falls. There is still ice around the Falls so we were not able to go out on the boat trip. So we walked through the tunnels instead. Tomorrow we leave Canada and return to the States - off to Lancaster which is an Amish area.
