So I have been in Thredbo for about a month now and there is still not much snow. I have met some brilliant people and made some great friends who I hope will keep in contact.
My time here has been spent working, going to the gym, occasionally snowboarding (on the man made snow) and of course scattered with the odd night out here and there.
Thredbo is still a strange town with a few more people around now we are in the middle of the school holidays but still people keep saying when the season starts, I am pretty sure the season has started but because there is no snow those that are meant to be here are just not coming. Most people that live in the village live here all year, therefore it doesn't have the atmosphere that I was expecting of a backpacking, working sort of place. When going out and drinking you are more likely to meet families and visitors to the town than locals and people that live and work here.
Working in a restaurant again has its up sides and down sides, I love working with the public and talking to people but the hours are just not enough. I cant go from earning lots of money in Noosa to earning barely enough to pay rent and food with.
I think I already knew this but I have decided that the cold weather is not for me. So I have made the decision to leave Thredbo and head back to warmer climates. I would like to come back for a holiday towards the end of the season as I will still have my winter pass, that way I cant take advantage of the snow, without worrying about the money. For once Mum I am taking your advice "if your not happy change it" So I am heading to up the coast. First stop Sydney. J

Mum Not very long, It's a shame there is no snow I am sure it would be a better place with it.
