6. Florence
So Sam and Fedda wanted a accomodation with a pool for Florence so we changed it at the last minute. Turned out the accomodation was a 30 minute train outside of Florence, when we got there we had to call the hostel for a pick up. After 20 minutes in the middle of nowhere this guys in a shiny mercades picks us up and starts driving us to the hostel, we are like 'where the F*** are we?' finally we got the the destination and we were fairly surprised. It was a giant family pool park, it had everything from gaming rooms, water slides, pools, pubs, restraunts all in one location, it also had a few cabins for a youth hostel too, but was very odd.
We thought it was so funny, we got on the kiddie water slides and made the most of it. I also got to see the two Le Tour stages on a big screen with a beer so I was pretty happy with that.
We didn't bother doing a day trip into Florence it was just way too far away, instead on the final day we went in early and checked bags in at station and did Florence in 4 hours.
We went in the Duomo, Did an awesome palace garden exhibition, saw michelangelos david (the dodgy one in the public park) and a heap of other statues and landmarks. I was pretty exhausted after it cos we tried to do everything really quickly so a lot of walking was involved. I also had the best Pizza of my life in Florence, if I ever go back there I need to find it. The dough was so soft and saucy, lovvved it.
Then we jumped on a train to go to Cinque Terre.
