Rome is amazing. I love this city. I got here on my own and stayed at a great hostel. First night I got there I met these two great irish girls who took me out to dinner, our room also had three Americans (2 guys and a girl) who were just as awesome. We all went for beers after a day where I had walked ridiculous amount of kilometeres in the sun, saw Fontain de Trevi, pantheon, piazza's, churches, palaces, ruins etc. The beer went right to my head and had the best sleep of my life!

I did the colesseum the next day and the forum, big lines so I did it in the afternoon, it was amazing to see but got over it pretty quick because I didn't do the audio tour, but I am not overly interested in roman history, prefer to learn more about the wars.

Overall Rome is just amazing every where you turn, so much to see, so much history compared to a new city like Melbourne. I am glad i spent a week here, it was so worth it.

Next day I caught up with Sam and Fedda, and went walking all around Rome again, I've done so many Kilometeres my leg muscles are getting huge. It was Feddas Birthday (and mums) so we had a few drinks down stairs with these guys from brazil, we met a bunch of South African girls and a german guys and had a great night just having a few beers at the hostel bar, didn't go to bed till 5 am from just chatting all night, comparing the differences in each country. I learnt that south africa is very similar to Australia.

The next night we went on an epic pub crawl, maybe my favourite night since ive been here, we went with a group including Canadians, South Africans, Germans, Australians and Amercians. We had a big night again. Don't freak out but I was on a night bus with a canadian and I felt someone touching my pocket, I looked down and my pocket of my pants had been ripped and my wallet was sticking out so I changed the wallet to the other pocket, I looked behind me and there was a shady young character sitting behind me who I realised had sneakly cut my pocket open and was that close to knicking my wallet!

It was final stop so he got off the bus and ran away. Best thing is it has made a great conversation with anyone I meet 'check out this pocket!' ill upload a photo.
So that night was pretty crazy, it was that much fun and met so many friends. The following day we jumped on a train to florence.

P.S Sam and I have a challenge not to shave till after Benicassim Festival in July so growing a beard cos I can and im on holidays!
