13th Jan Lazy day on beach. As the tide receeded we took a stroll along the beach to explore the other resorts and ended up at Porn Resort a backpacker camp of simple straw huts and a very laid back rustic bar right on the beach. Having suffered from aching legs for a couple of days I was on the wagon to see if it made any difference but Ann soon discovered anew drink from Brazil. Sat at the bar were a Swiss couple that it turned out had divorced about 2 years previously and since then Nadia and her 3 children had been travelling around India, China, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand for the past 17 months - what an education!! Nadia introduced Ann to this mixture of crushed limes, sugar, clear spirit a cross between rum & tequila + a mixer that went down a treat. Nadia was encouraged by our travels and was going to use our experience to tempt her parents to join her on her travels that would be lasting another six months before she has to put the childrens education first. Sadly this evening our peace was broken by a bar along the beach that we believe is run by ladyboys who cannot sing and make an awful racket.

14th Jan 2007 Another beautiful lazy day to be spoilt by lunch that resulted in me getting the dreaded runs. Quite evening except for the LB singing.

15th Jan 2007 Lazy day close to WC, Feeling better by the evening we went into town to a little French Cafe called Suzette and had a wonderful meal of mustard chicken and some good red wine + a Grand Marnier crepe--Anns favourite meal so far.

16th Jan 2007 We had planned to explored some of the beaches to north today to look for somewhere else to maybe stay but as still unwell, decided to be lazy on the beach. Ann had a massage on the beach while I had a good blast on the I-pod to blow the cobwebs away.
