Our Year of Adventure
Travelling half way across Guatemala in 7 hours, in a small van without air conditioning, didn't make for a great day. The heat coming up through the floor of the van was nearly melting the soles of our shoes and we only had one stop on the way. We didn't even get out the van for the crossing of Río La Pasión on the ferry.
We checked in to Hospedaje Doña Goya when we arrived in Flores. It was basic but was a massive room with 3 beds , a TV and hot water for the shower.
A one minute walk down the road took us to Terrazzo, an nice Italian restaurant with a terrace overlooking the lake. It had a Happy Hour and really good pasta so we left satisfied after our gruelling day.
