Well haven't stopped since I got to Phuket and what with a mixture of early starts and late nights haven't had a chance to update my blog properly so this will be a long entry will cover everything from a purple dog to over friendly ladyboys strange I know but Thailand is one strange place as im finding out.

Anyway after going to phi phi island on Saturday I was booked in for another trip Sunday morning another 7am start which I wasn't happy about but I seem to be able to go without that much sleep so far. A jeep came and picked me up and two aussie girls (Beth & Lucy) at the hotel. We were dropped on the beach and got into our speedboat for the day was a really nice way of seeing some of the islands. We visited monkey island which was nice but the monkeys rule that island so if you try sitting where they sit they let you know about it. We went to loads of different beaches wont bore you with the details. Anyway we got dropped back at the hotel and we decided to go into town for the evening we got on the one and only train which took about 30 minutes the train was great for £2 they give you a meal and as many drinks as you want. Anyway off the train we decided to go and watch some thai boxing I had already done this in Bangkok but they do things differently in Phuket either we got the early show or were in the wrong place but it was young kids fighting little kids no older than 10 going at it. We only stayed for the one fight then moved on we got some pancakes off a street vender the street venders out here are great can get pretty much anything you want and its so cheap. We were looking for a club to go into but every club in Phuket seems to have a unique name a lot like Bangkok so you can imagine the type of names they have. Anyway we found the cleanest sounding club "wet dreams bar" and went it. The name gives it away I should have learnt from my lesson from Bangkok really as soon as we went in 5 ladyboys came up and were being overly friendly anyway I found a seat and knew the only was I was gonna stay safe was by not leaving the seat all night. The club was pretty decent played western music and as always in any thai bar you have the young thai girls with the dirty old English men makes you sick. I knew having 2 litres of water wasn't a good idea so I had to move out of my comfort zone of my seat and go to the toilet. Please anyone coming to Thailand and is planning to go to a club don't use the toilets I walked in and turned around and walked straight back out lets just say George Michael would have fitted in perfectly lol. Anyway that was enough for me for one night we all decided to head back on the train to our hotel.

It was another early start on Monday as we visited old Phuket which was basically a tribal village. The villagers made me and the girls feel very welcome they offered us these bug things to eat and said it is tradition upon entering the town that we eat one I didn't wanna offend so ate mine it was nasty I dunno what it was but it was full of puss. I noticed the villagers were laughing I asked the only English speaking villager why he said they play that trick on all the western people that visit the village I still don't see the funny side of it but anyway they were all pretty nice showed us around there little village and we got to go on an elephant ride. That evening we just relaxed at the hotel got a phone call from Beth and Lucy saying they had a spider in the room and could I get rid of it now I was thinking how big can this spider be girls always over exaggerate these things but Australian girls don't. Walked in and it was the biggest spider I have ever seen in my life so I did what any brave person would do I jumped on the bed with them and started throwing stuff at it lol.

Was another early start on Tuesday as we went off to James Bond Island it was ok but once you have seen Maya beach nothing really come closes to matching it but was nice to relax on the beach for a few hours. Still haven't got a tan I seem to miss out going brown and just go red still holding out hope to go brown soon.

Anyway that's about it from me went shopping with Beth & Lucy today don't need to say a lot else all you guys that have been dragged around shopping for 5 hours know what a wonderful experience it is lol. Next few days im gonna be working on the tan or finding out what shade of red I can get up to lol. Until next time everyone take care and hope the weather improves for you!!!!!!!!!!!
