Welcome to Tasmania. We flew in very early in the morning arriving at 8am so we took 2 nights to just explore Hobart, the capital. We hired a car for a couple of days to drive down the coast to the Great Ocean Road - in all honesty it seemed much cheaper to do it this way than the $130+ tours that lasted only a day. We also got to go for a day trip to Philip Island, a little island just south of the city. On the trip we got up close and personal with some of Australia's creatures, feeding Kangeroos, Emus, Larmas and Wallaby's.
