For once the rain had worked in our favour. Due to all the bad weather the "OPEN" golf tournament at St Andrews had to roll into an extra day... and that was the day that we were calling in there. The driver didnt really think we would be able to get in, he was pretty convinced our coach would be turned around... but i think because we were arriving around midday, and the "top" players werent playing the 18th untill around 3pm, we got in ahead of the groups. We were shocked to find that we could wander right in, and stand by the 18th hole, just behind a small fence that separated us from the ticket holders. A great feeling being there, and it certainly made it more exciting that evening, watching the finals on TV and saying.. we were standing right there.

St Andews has a lot of old buildings and ruins and i have to say it was nothing at all like i had imagined and im really pleased we stopped in there
