Ok, ok, so I said we were going to be on our way to Puno by now. And we would have been, if it weren't for the pesky strikes and blockades that are occurring somewhere between here and Lake Titicaca. So after an incredibly pointless early morning wake up to get to the bus station for half past seven, we have come back into Cusco and are filling the day with a couple of English mates we met doing the Inca Trail, Sally and Martyn, checking out the cathedral (a fantastic painting of The Last Supper - fairly sure this one isn't by Leo - with the main dish being a roasted guinea pig...I eat the same as the Kechuan Jesus, wahey!), eating in restaurants (set menus of three course meals for 10 soles - that'd be about 1 pound 80. Not so bad), and juggling and playing haki in the main square. We were doing this the other day when it was nice and sunny, persuading some of the local kids who spend their afternoons selling finger puppets and postcards to the gringos to give up trying to persuade us to purchase them and play haki sac instead. They were loving it, as the photos Farida took will attest. Or would do, had the former not been deleted when Frodo decided it would be a good idea to get to know how her camera worked...step one, obviously, being to reformat it having not saved any of the pictures. D'oh. Still, many more opportunities...
For all those who are sending me mildly abusive messages for having a good time, I will aim to appease you with the following. Ich habe durchfall. Mucho mucho. And it's not pretty. Still, immodium is the saviour as always, and I think a trip to the pharmacy may be in order today to get some antibiotics. Best get going now, got to go and duplicate some more pictures of mountains and Cusco main square, cos I don't seem to have enough at the moment. Adios amigos, hasta luego, abrizo.
