After 4 days in Christchurch I think its time to move on so will head travelling tomorrow, but at the same I could easily stay here for another few days. Its a cool little town, easy to get around, people are friendly, its relatively cheap & importantly its got good pubs & nightlife.

Sullivans Irish bar in Manchester St is a good spot, I'm not normally one for visiting Irish bars, but this one is well worth a look, they have bands playing, irish dancers & its layed out in a way so that it feels like an authentic country Irish pub. Its a far cry from the cheap imitation you get in Australia, which in all honestly are crap, Scruffy Murphys in Sydney for example. The Holy Grail Sports bar near Cathedal Square is a good spot to take in some sport & enjoy a beer. They have great city entertainmemt in Catherdal Square with school kids doing the Haka, Irish dancing & other various activities.Some must do things in the city are visting the Cathedral, it has to be done as its the centrepiece of the town & also the tram ride is nice as well, you get to see the old side to the city.

The only down side to Christchurch is the numerous fat stupid Americans wandering around the city, hell there beyond thick. Some dont even realise that New Zealand has its own currency, some think its actually US dollars they use.

Ye I've enjoyed Christchurch & if this is what New Zealand is all about Im really looking forward to the rest of my trip.
