In Chicago now, its bloody freezing, brass monkeys, arrived on Sunday evening & the cold hit me quick. It was snowing yesterday which was nice but I havent felt my hands in a few days, I dont have a jacket & aint buying one so Im heading out with about 3 jumpers on.
The city is s*** cool, its basically New York on smaller scale, its a pity I've ran out of money & heading home tomorrow evening as I would love to stay here for an extra few days. Its situated beside Lake Michigan so as you can imagine its a really scenic place to walk around & its also has many old musuems & of course numerous sky scrapers, the Hancock Center & the Sears Tower which is huge. I went up on top of the Sears tower today, its fairly spectacular, the sky was clear so I got a panaramic view of the whole city, pretty nice. I visited the Field Musuem today as well which has a lot of old exhibits including numerous dinosaur fossils & bones, exhibits, etc.. Beside the musuem is Soldier Field Stadium which is were the bears play for all you american footie fans. It impressive, its built like a roman collasium. Defo worth a look.
It's a shoppers paradise here as well, thats if you have the funds, its not that exspensive. I'm glad im coming back to the U.S. in November & New York as the states rocks, its just in a different league to Oz & the rest of the world. Im a little bit annoyed with myself as I should have headed to America about a month ago & did a proper tour, thats defo on the list of things to do..
Well to sum up if you never been to Chicago, you should go, brilliant spot!!! America f**k yeah!!!
