Todays ride is around 40km, its up and down and we left early, around 7 to try and beat the heat. We didnt beat the heat - but the ride wasnt too bad, a fair bit of sealed road today as we get closer to the bigger town of Puerto Escondido. On arrival we had our breaky (starving!!) we had omelletes and i had a big hot chocolate, theyre really into their chocolate and its awesome too. Well, it got even hotter today. As we cruise down the rewards for yesterdays uphill battle, the temperature continues to rise. We rode through 2 small villages but its really in the middle of nowhere now. Suprised at how green Mexico is. By the end of the 66km we stopped for lunch at a comedoria and had a tasty traditional Mexican feed. San Sebastian is high up in the mountains, this may seem like a trivial fact to most..not to us. When we started riding in the morning, we were not high up in the mountains..This results in a simple equation...47km of nearly completely up hill riding..steep stuff too and most of it in the dirt. So we got picked up pretty early from our hotel in Oaxaca by Roberto and Roberto..nice and easy. Roberto is the driver and Roberto is the nephew of national cycling champion Pedro Martinez (who we later found out was not actually an olympian as even though he was part of the team to go to Seol, he hadnt dont his military service, so couldnt get a passport..). We drove for a while just to get out of town and then jumped on our pushys.. Pretty flat day, not too man...

Our Oaxaca update is on its way. Today however we are jumping on mountain bikes, organised through Pedro Martinez ( http://www.bicicletaspedromartinez.com/ ). He is an ex olympian cyclist and runs cycle tours. We are leaving in about half an hour and riding to Puerto Escondido which is about 200km and will take 4 days, so i dont think we will have a chance to jump online or anything. We have a car coming with us to carry our bags and a spare bike etc, everything...
