After an epic 17+ hours on a minivan then bus we arrived in KL at 5 in the morning! Quick taxi to the hotel to drop off the rucksacks/ wash etc we were off out in search of food and a bit of sightseeing! During the bus ride we ate at a stop and shared a a piece of marinated fries chicken, curry and rice for £1.25. It was tasty too so were both looking forward to getting out into KL in search of some top notch spicy curry! The first meal for breakfast therefore in KL would have to be... Chicken kebab at 6 in the morning! Just like back home!!!! However we did decline the morning shisha with the rest of the locals! After a mini planning session we got on the monorail to the twin towers of Malaysia. The petronus towers. Massive! We sat in the gardens near the towers and had a quick look in them. Time slowed down as we had got to the towers and gardens just as the local morning runners and ex pats did there morning park runs!! We then headed off to the pavilion through the sky walk way trough Malaysia and walked around the golden triangle. Some really nice shops and restaurants and quite western. In fact most of Malaysia is pretty western and you can find English speaking people everywhere. Unlike Thailand, Malay is not a different alphabet so the city was already easier to move around! 100 times easier than bangkok!!!! We then headed to the 4th tallest tower in the world, the KL tower. We spent money on going up (49RM/£10) which was our daily spending money but its not every day you are in KL! After a while at the top and photos etc we went for lunch. Hard Rock Cafe were doing a 3 course meal lunch deal on the cheap so hit there. Everyone was really friendly and helpful in pointing out spots to go see etc. We then checked in, showered and headed straight back out to find some market food! However we kept getting lost!! The transport in trains and monorails are easy but the walk after we got confused with! We settled in petaling street in Chinatown and ate in a foo court. Not pleasing though and we both felt a bit gutted knowing there was better out there!! And we did find better! In little India the next day! We were now desperate for curry so found a lovely little buffet stall in little India. Had liver curry, chicken curry, fried plum fries and a fish (yes with eyes and head and stuff). And was So nice!! We got our ticket for the Cameron highlands for the next day and checked out the 7th largest building in the world... Berjaya Times Square!! Huge!!! 2 minutes away from our hotel it consisted of 49 floors in total of shops, food, hotel, sports centre, 5star hotel, cinema (with 2 IMAX screens) and a theme park with a fooking roller coaster!! Even the most shopaholic person would find this place too much!!! We also went in search of a toilet restaurant for auntie Linda!! We wanted photos there as it was a restaurant where you sat on toilets and the waiters had janitor outfits on! However it was closed down. Apparently it didn't take off!!! The following day was an early start to set-off by bus to the Cameron highlands. On the journey there we were greeted by some stunning views with the bus driving along cliff edges!
