wow, we are finally in pucon. The last few days have been strange. before we ent to the hostel in santiago we di a beautiful little river called the rio clarillo hich as a low volume creek. after walking around santiago for half a day ben and kurt came and picked us back up and we started the drive south. eventually at 1am 100m before we were going to stop to camp at the top of the next river, the truck broke down!!!!!!mark was really ill so slept in the truck and we all quickly set up camp in a field and went to sleep. when we got up ben was trying to sort out getting towed back to pucon straight away but becasue we were on a dirt road he needed a police report!!!so basically we had to ait until one of his workers in pucon drove all the ay up to where we were ith the other truck to allow us to drive back home whilst he sorted out the broken dwn truck. so weecided to run the river anyway and it was cool!!!a big volume pool drop class 4/4+ river. some of the holes were HUGE!!!but it was a great run.we got off the river at 3ish thinking that reuben would be driving by at about 4to sort us out.he didnt come til midnight. so until 7pm we waited at the side of a road for him until this bus came around the corner. we flagged it down and they took us back up to the broken truck and mark who had stayed with it ill.we ad to set up camp again and then we sat around the campfire that dave had made.

early thi morning mark woke us up saying that he really thought he needed the hospital so we quickly loaded up the small van and drove down to pucon. he has been to the doctor now who thinks he hsa hep A. poor mark hasnt had the best luck.

we have been introduced to the shop and we start work tomorrow, no rest for the wicked and all that.i cant wait to get out spanish lessons.
