Dave has been secretly carrying and engagement ring ever since they left the uk in August. Worrying himself silly carrying all across Central America. Not only worried and losing it or it being stolen but trying his hardest to keep it hidden from Emily.

So off Emily went with Dave to undertake the 4 day Inca Trail totally unknown that Dave was carrying the ring all across the mountains with the plan of revealing it at Machu Picchu.

When they arrived at the site, there was a 2 hour guided tour and when that was complete Dave tried hard to coax Emily to a nice quiet secluded spot, Emily was very tired and was more than happy to sit in the main areas with lots of people around.

A worried (and extremely nervous Dave) finally convinced her to come and sit on a quiet terrace overlooking the mountains whereby he pulled out the engagement ring.

After some tears Emily said YES!!!!

The perfect end to a perfect 4 days in a wonderful, unforgettable, magical place.
