Onto day three of our crazy trip through the amazing variety of landscapes that Bolivia has to offer.
Today we were up early and headed off in the snow to an area of geysers violently erupting out of the snow covered ground with the sun rising in the background, which of course was super amazing.
From here we ascended up to 5000 metres above sea level....a new height record for us!
Here we all jumped into a natural hot spring to relax after lots of dusty travelling. After this breakfast was served before we headed off to the Bolivian border.
Before we left Dave came over all funny with altitude sickness. It started with dizzyness and lightheadedness, then the shakes followed by a thumping headache. Then his skin changed to what can be described as rooster skin, to finish off his face puffed out.
5000 metres is definatly too high for the boy from Banbury!
But we then decended 1000 metres and the problems disappeared, which was good as we are not sure Chile would let into their country a shaking, wobbly, puffy rooster.
