Hi everyone,

Well, we have been to some very remote places over the past week and finding a computer that we can use for uploading photos has not been easy, so we are going to save that until we get to Auckland.

We are at Raikia, almost back in Christchurch, after an almost complete circumnavigation of the bottom two-thirds of South Island. We have been down as far as Invercargill (and have had a special visit with the owner of Burt Munro's 'World's Fastest Indian') and have been to Mount Cook and the new Sir Edmund Hillary Centre, which he was able to open shortly before he passed away.

The weather has been mixed and has scuppered plans for a helicopter flight over the glaciers, but we have seen some wonderful scenery and met some fascinating and very hospitable people.

More will be added after we get to North Island on Saturday, when no doubt you will have loads more snaps from the family album to look at.
