Dave and Denise Prismall have retired from teaching a few years early with the intention of having a go at the 'gap year' thing. They would have done it before they went to college but it was almost unheard of then, back in the mists of time that were the late 60s. Better late than never, we thought; if youngest daughter Catherine could do it, why not us?
So, we are off round the world again! We did it once, for our silver wedding treat to each other. We enjoyed it so much…

This time it's Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and San Francisco (plus a fair bit of time at Heathrow, I'd imagine...) So why not join us on our travels? We'll update our diary, photos and videos as often as we can.

Looks like you're having a wonderful time over there... definitely something Steve and I have on the agenda for future trips. In the mean time we are getting VERY excited about leaving for the UK in 2 days time! I cant wait to have 5 weeks off work! All is well over here though, will tell you all when I see you early May time.

We are now in Wellington going across to south island tomorrow to collect car for a few days around Marlborough Sound. Then its train to Kaikoura to see if we can see some Whales. Due to collect camper van around 18 March

So many lovely places - and familiar ones at that. It is really good to see some photos of the apartment as Stephen has never got round to that - we've just had glimpses when skyping. No wonder they like it so much.
Enjoy the rest of your time in Sydney and have a flat white for us - every mention makes my mouth water!

Just to let you know, your next holiday is under control! P&P and J&B together with you are all booked into Mas Saint Antoine on 11th Sept.Pat seemed to think you wanted a week, so have booked it for you provisionally, but it is up to you. The others are going Fri-Mon.We will also leave on the Monday,having spent 2 weeks there.
As far as flights are concerned, they have booked with Ryanair, Liverpool to Nimes, £170 return for 2.If you want more details of the flights, I will forward them to you, but didn't book for you as you were talking about trains!
Let me know anyway, if there are any probs with any of it.

This is really extending my social networking skills. My children are most impressed. Sounds and looks as though you are having a fantastic time - what a fantastic way of keeping connected.
Also love the clip of Oliver in the snow to remind you of home. Mind you we are experiencing tropical temparatures at the moment reached double figures during the day!
