So day 2 arrived on beachcomber and the boys woke up with bad hangovers, as did the girls I believe. In our 100 person dorm room, this place was awesome, so huge! Cat, Hemel and Berko left today which was again emotional, they have become great friends to me, and I can’t wait to see them at home.
Lindzy and I walked around the Island that took a whole 10 minutes, that’s how small these places are, fun walk though, she’s awesome, a full Aberdeen girl with a great accent! Tom, James and I went swimming and met a life guard by coincidence, called Lyndsay. She’s really cool, a small blonde girl with a pretty smile, and great fun. She’s from Brisbane in Australia! We have obviously adopted her from this point forward, not only because of the lifeguard stature, but the fact she’s actually really funny and cool! The rest of the day was taken over by, yes you guessed it sunbathing, sleeping, eating, drinking, and generally nothing else! Good Day!
The night unfortunately wasn’t of the same high standard of the previous one, maybe because Cat had gone, or maybe it was the fact that a load of 19-21 year old English and American kids arrived! The bar was so full of male ego that night, we all decided to leave early. I did get to teach Jen all the drinking games I knew though which was cool. She’s a great girl too, just starting out traveling with Katie, and they bumped into us…poor girls!
I heard there was punch ups in the bar that night, it really did remind of Milton Keynes, Tom nicknamed it “The Island of Ego”. But lets not be too harsh the food is great, the staff are brilliant. I got all my washing done, because of the bedbug problem, for less than $20. So I am not complaining. Picking up Lyndsay was great too, she’s really funny and so down to earth. Although that night, she lit up the room, with her sunburn, and with constant comments from Tom and I will hopefully wear sunscreen from now on!
The girls, Lyndsay and the lads are now all heading to Nadi together as a family (we didn’t kidnap them we swear!). Really not looking forward to leaving them though!.
I have loved every minute of this trip so much! excepy Bounty of course!
