Summit day. Set off at 12 pm for a 7 hour hike to the summit. It was freezing cold and we slowly followed a line of headlamps up the mountain. Pole pole to the extreme. Saw people being sick and brought back down the mountain with altitude sickness. So hard. If you took a big step you needed 30 seconds to recover. Panting all the way. After 7 hours finally made it to the summit via Stella point. Slithered me way up the mountain, I'm a snake. Then had to walk another few hours down past the glacier to our base camp and had a nap for an hour. Then had another 5 hour trek to our final camp. Was absolutely knackered. Toughest day of me life.
