God are we knackered. We've just got back from the strip and it is just after 3.00am. We took the bus along the strip and saw all the cacky wedding chapels lit up like christmas and the huge billboards advertising shows and free stuff. After realising why we had not stayed in one of the more expensive casino hotels because they were trying to sell everyone timeshares we went back to Fremont street which is near where we are staying and watched the huge light show on the ceiling of the walkway covering. We caught a cab back as we were advised it was unsafe to walk back to the hostel after dark due to drug dealers on the street near the hostel (they were everywhere and we were glad we took the advise and got a cab, wouldn't recommend this place to anyone to stay at in Vegas). Darren had fun playing roulette on the slots and won a whole $8 which paid for the taxi ride back. This town is just a little bit mad and never sleeps. It's a bit of fun watching the old ladies puffing away on the cigarettes playing the slots but we're glad to be moving on to Hollywood tomorrow for Halloween (Darren already has his costume).
