we´ve got loads and loads of great photos to put up but bolivian connection isnt making that too easy so will do as soon as we can.

went on a three day tour from atacama desert to bolivian salt flats. was good trip but after the 58th lagoon we were done with that part. salt flats were awesome, it had rained the day before so looked as though we were walking on water, yes just like the j man.

couldnt get a bus going to the jungle so we just came all the way up to la paz, best decision we´ve made. only suppose to stay for 3days been a week and half already, hostel is brilliant and just having a laugh. diarmaid has had it the worst, he got salmonela on the salt flats trip so he´s been the sober one for a week, poor wee soul. la paz is amazing, its almost free its so cheap. second day here we hired the bikes and did death road, it was great although stupid me went flying off my bike but only minor (very minor) injuries but like to say i got them on death road. diarmaid was dying that day (this was before he knew what was up so we thought it was just bad hangover) and darren thought it was hysterical so got plenty of diarmaid sleeping every chance he got photos.

we got a great deal on carnival in oruro as well. some guy that owns a club here has a family home up for sale through there so set up package deal for the weekend. so about 17 scottish, irish, spanish and couple australians headed through for the weekend and it was definatley one of the best times of travelling so far. you get seats in these little stands and all these wee kids come around selling water balloons and foam spray. well we pretty much made them millionairs buying them off them and attacking everyone in the stands and eachother. the parade was cool it went on all day and the costumes were great and every set was a massive brass band all dressed in 20s gear and playing their wee hearts out was amazing. darren sent me to my bed in the middle of the day for being too drunk but then i made it out again but shaun didnt haha he slept for about 12hours that night. was also a great laught with everyone trying to understand eachother, they all say when we speak amongst ourselves they catch nothing but i found the guys from cork impossible too.

we´re going quad biking tommorow and there is tatoo place here that is well known and suppose to be pretty cheap so we´re heading there to look at some tattoos aswell. diarmaid is allowed back on the booze tommorow again so think another party night in his honour is needed. hopefully get pics up soon cause they´re great.
