The first thing I will say about Chiang Mai is that I had zero interest in going. Get me to the beach. For those of you that know me well, my new husband included, this comes as little surprise. But from the minute we landed after a hour long fight from Bangkok, I was glad we came. The city's energy is amazing. Chiang Mai is a well-developed community with some strong values - family, education and culture. We spent our time here on the scooter visiting temples, checking out hot springs, hiking in the jungle, and visiting a Royal garden. After the sun went down we headed out in search of dinner and usually ended up at one of the many night markets.
