Day 31. Tuesday 8th . Left Safari Park early. Everyone keen to see what we could of Litchfield and get on the road to Darwin. . Our first stop was Cascades but after reading the information sign and a 3 hour walk and croc warning we decided it was worth listening to the whinging and we got back in the van and opted for a slightly shorter 1 1/2 hour return walk Greenant Creek to Tjaetaba Falls. Day 30 Monday 7th August Everyone awake early due to heat and the monster mosquitoes which ate Nicole and Matilda alive! We're going to get away in absolute record time. Before 9am! BUT...we were almost squared away, the clean washing was still slightly damp and could do with 15 minutes in the dryer so it could be put away. Day 29 Sunday 6th August Olivia- Adelaide River jumping croc cruise. We nervously walk down the rickety bridge as Dominator (6.1 metres long, currently the biggest known crock in Australia) slowly swims towards the boat, looking for a snack and disappears in the mercky water. Day 28 Saturday 5th August Grace - We set off with Grace doing all the work Matilda and Olivia being lazy as usual. We set off to Litchfield, stopping at Mumaluka Wetlands, our last Kakadu stop, it was really pretty, we learnt about the 6 Aboriginal season one was called "knock em down storms". There were lily pads and I can't imagine what is under them...I don't want to find out. We were going to go on a walk till mum found out there were crocs on the path...

Day 27. 4th August Oh dear! We actually got our act together and set off in good time to explore Gunlom Falls, clear plunge pool and waterfall, on Susie and Ronnie's recommendation. On the way down the road I was reading up on crocodile safely swimming. And it didn't sound all that positive. Despite the crocodile management zone there still remains risk the estuarine (saltwater) crocs may move into any plunge pool or waterway! If visitors choose to swim they do ...
