Day 28 Saturday 5th August
Grace - We set off with Grace doing all the work Matilda and Olivia being lazy as usual. We set off to Litchfield, stopping at Mumaluka Wetlands, our last Kakadu stop, it was really pretty, we learnt about the 6 Aboriginal season one was called "knock em down storms". There were lily pads and I can't imagine what is under them...I don't want to find out. We were going to go on a walk till mum found out there were crocs on the path and quickly changed her mind, I don't think the girls minded much.
Mary River for lunch to our surprise we get greeted by a crocodile, fortunately it is only a baby and is behind glass and will be for the rest of its life as we were told by the waitress she said that it will only be living with them till it is 60cm and then will go back to a croc farm in Darwin and be turned into a bag or shoes or used to eat you poor crocodile. Mum was doing some googling and it said that there were 100,000 crocodile in the wild, in the NT, she also found that where we are staying there was many encounters of people swimming in Berry springs and come across a crocodile so mum yet again said "we won't be swimming there any time soon". We have lunch Olivia and mum share arancini balls and Grace and Matilda have nuggets. Dad had a wrap we won't be needing dinner after that. We set off again when getting to the van Dad realised that HE didn't lock the van with all the iPads and phones just showing, perfect brake in got away! Off to Berry Spring I don't know how we will keep cool when we can't enter the water. We get to Berry Springs caravan park. (Can't recommend AAOK park, to date the least favourite by far) Olivia and I go exploring and we find puppies sooo cute, the lady was doing a painting and said we could play with them she was a inner peace guru she said I could join her in yoga tomorrow I wanted to go till I found out that it was at 7:30 and I knew I wasn't coming. We went to the pool then dinner which I cooked fijitas yum, then movie and bed I got to sleep with mum and dad was up top.
