World Cup kicks of today!

Okay so today we were supposed to get up & go explore what's around & find out about Great Barrier Reef tours & Greyhound Buses, this does not go to plan though. 10am rolls around, we awake when there's the sound of a hoover & the shout of 'Housekeeping' as our door opens, they quickly dive out & we fall back to sleep. We ashamedly admit that we don't re-awake until gone 2pm, we have an excuse though, we have been doing so much walking recently & the whole travelling experience & making decisions (together) & watching every single penny has taken its toll. We were in need of a couple of rest days without realising it. When we finally surface out of bed we grab a shower, do some bits on the internet then go & chuck all our washing in. By this time the opening ceremony of the World Cup has started. As we haven't eaten today its 2 huge cheeseburgers for dinner followed nicely again with a Corona & $2 special Sangria for Trish. As New Zealand vs Tonga kick of Dan gets Goosebumps, we've been talking about the start date for the World Cup for ages & here we finally are over 4 months into our trip & in Australia!

We watch New Zealand kick Tonga's arse, the only downside was that on a Friday night there's a house dj in at the hostel & there's no sound for the rugby so tomorrow we will definatly be finding a bar somewhere to watch England-Argentina. We finish our washing, find out about some tours & head to the room to follow up on some more research. Getting to sleep tonight is a little more difficult however after all the sleep we've had the past two days.
