Good thing we are flexible. We did not exactly stick to our plan to go see the Vatican today, instead we decided to sleep in a little bit...which was much needed considering the amount of walking we have been doing...and we probably drank more wine than we thought last night:) When we finally decided to get up and start our day, we went over to the bus tour office and bought our 24 hour passes. The tour itself was not very good since we had to listen through a headset, but we did get to see the entire city. We rode the bus from the train station to Vatican City and past the Piazza de Popolo and Spanish Steps where we decided to get off. From the steps we walked south towards the Pantheon. It was pretty cool...also, we found a Gelateria that had the best Gelato we have had since being in Italy!!! After Snapping some photos we proceeded to walk down some side streets looking for a nice place to sit down and have a light lunch. We found a very small cafe down an alley, it was the only thing on this particular road, and sat down. We were desperate to find some shade and nourishment because it was 36 degrees Celsius today...we think that translates to close to 90 or 95 fahrenheit...at least it felt like that!! After lunch we found our way back onto the bus where it would take us through the remainder of the city we had not seen and back to the train station.

Danny being an idiot, left his drivers license at the internet cafe last night so we had to go back there and pray that they still had it. Which they did. It was funny because the little boy that was there last night (he was probably 4 or 5) remembered us and tried to play Indian Jones with us as soon as we walked in! We got on some of the computers and booked our next hostel destination in Pisa. Its a must that we pose holding up the Leaning Tower. We are only staying there for one night since we head to Nice the next day to meet up with Danny Giglio (Dannys best friend from back in the day). Now we plan on going back to the hostel and taking some ICE COLD showers (the one time we will accept no hot water) since it is so incredibly hot out side, then after a little bit of rest, we will head back to the restaurant we ate at last night and watch some more Futbol over a nice meal. There does not seem to be anywhere in our area with wifi, so hopefully when we get to Pisa we will be able to upload all our photos from Florence and Rome.

Tomorrow we will definitely be going on the Vatican tour, which includes St. Peters Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, and The Vatican Museum. After that tour we plan to go visit Castel San Angelo. We will update again tomorrow!! Ciao!

Oh yeah, Italian Pizza is much better than New York, and Leigh has been eating the Parmesean Cheese by the spoonful!!! As for the wine, we keep getting the house red and it always seems to be pretty good!! We do not know what kind it is, but it gets the job done!!!
