I downloaded SKYPE. Skype is an internet communication tool that allows me to have free, or cheap, telephone conversations through my computer. As long as you have a microphone and speakers on your computer, you can download skype, and we can talk while I am abroad. I know this really sounds like I'm selling :) but that's because I am. If you go to www.skype.com you can download it for free. It is set up similar to Messenger, iChat, and AIM. My screen name is Danielle VV and you can either let me know what your screen names are or just add me to your skype account. Keep me posted on your skype status!
In other news, I had my orientation for Italy last week, I'm meeting with my advisors this week, and next week I have to head to Chicago to apply for my visa! Just under two months and I will be eating pasta every night for dinner. I guess that's not much different from now, but at least it won't be Kraft Mac and Cheese 3 nights a week!
