McCarthy's somewhat extensive, monotonous, historical account of Florence. We were asked to write about our first impressions of Florence and Italy. I will post it sometime over the weekend, but here
are a few small notes: The toilet paper isn't perferated, I don't know how to get through the doors of the Italian banks, and I feel slightly out of place in a place full of such antiquity. But boy
is it beautiful, and it won't be long before I belong. We go to Siena on Friday and Saturday we are hiking up Monte Morello which is right outside the doors of the villa. There should be some great
pictures and more blogs up by then!
