They persuaded me to come with them back to KL a day early so we can hang out and party just before I go to Borneo. We met up with Lars, a Danish guy is also going to be doing the same kindof thing as me in Borneo. And we went drinking in the reggae bar and our rooftop bar in our hostel. I don't usually drink much in Malaysia as it is pretty expensive being a majority Muslim country, with lots of tax added on, but tonight was an exception. We then went for a boogie in the reggae bar, and we were teasing Lars a lot. There were lots of lady-boys (transvestites) in the club, but they are sometimes very hard to spot as they look so much like girls. There was one who was clearly a lady boy and Lars in his drunken state mistook her for a woman, and was looking at her, and I said to him, "you do realise that's a man don't you?" and still wasn't sure! He said he was going to ask she/he. I pulled him back just as the lady boy saw him coming over and she was looking over at us, and I just shouted "He really likes you!!" (I couldn't help myself), but what happened next was more funny, she looked over in disgust and pulled a being sick face!! Lars got turned down by a lady boy!! We could not stop laughing! He sheepishly, did eventually see the funny side.
Last day in KL was spent sending loads of stuff home by sea mail, buying a little trekking rucksack for 2 pounds, and doing some other jobs. Then went for a goodbye meal with the girls.
