"In life we all have an unspeakable secret, an irreversilble regret, an unreachable dream and an unforgotteable love."
Well HARRRROOOOO!!! It's been awhile and I aplogize. I swear, time is faster here in Thailand.
The above quote can sum up our experiences in the past couple of weeks. The islands took it out of us and have left some of the best memories I could ever ask for. In addition, I met some of the best people. Toby, a crazy bloke from Manchester, will go down in the books as the funniest, funnest (it's a word, google it), and happiest person in world. We met him on the island of Ko Phi Phi and couldn't say our goodbyes until we reached Bangkok. He brought such good energy. I have NEVER danced as much as I did on the night Toby was introduced to us. The next morning, I had to ask the girls if I was doing push ups on the beach because my shoulers hurt so bad...little did I know, it was the new dance move I was doing for five hours straight. We call it, "the Toby shrug." Try it. Move one shoulder, than the other, then together now, and sway your hips back and forth while your shoulders go with the beat. Then, to keep things spicy, throw your arm in the air and do a little fist pump. Might not seem like a lot, but it gets difficult after three Phucket buckets and nine Breezers.
Another highlight happened the night the love of my life left me. Court and I were outside his room writing my farewell note and ran into some spelling problems. My love is from Denmark, so obvisouly I had to begin my note with "My Danish pastry." seems easy, but we couldn't figure out if there was an "e" in the word pastry. In our defense, it's been a rough couple of weeks. after pulling out our phones and googling it, we proceeded with the letter. Our awkward writing session was like an episode of dump and dumper filling out mad libs. Thirty minutes and four sentences later, my love letter was completed. Courtney stood up and proudly read it to me. After she was done the door swung open and two English gents came out explaining how to spell the word "pastry." He ended it with, "I hope your lover isn't in his room because these walls are paper thin and we have been sitting here listening to your girls for the past half hour." I ran down the stairs in embarrassment. Court stood there and let them know we were college graduates. thank god for her.
I have a cold now and i think it's from playing in that damn monsoon. I want my mum :( We got some great footage though, when it rains, it dumps over here. and these stupide americans had to get out in the middle of the street doing rain dances and taking photos. we looked for goggles to really look cool but did not have any success.
our video diaries should be up soon, and hopefully by then we will be able to upload some footage on this site.
