From Bryce Canyon to Zion

First time we decided to sleep in a little and what do you know,… We get called on the phone in our room. It's Terry Alderman's wife the photographer who took us to White Pockets two days earlier. Apparently Richard left a part of his tripod in Terry's car. Later we found out Terry and his wife had called all the hotels, lodges and resorts near Bryce Canyon because he remembered us telling that it would be our next stop. Eventually he found us yesterday and asked the owner if he could leave us a message. But he didn't.

Detour

Luckily we had to drive in the direction where Terry Aldermans shop was anyway and only had a 27 mile detour. With the miles we have been making and will be making that's a short detour. So a couple of hours later we met Terry a year sooner then previously intended at his shop. It was established in the best year something could be established,…. 1978 :D

Next Stop!

After picking up the tripod thingy we were back on the road and headed to Zion National Park. We knew there would be some road work and delays. So we planned on driving to our hotel because the trip would take lang enough with the detour. We would sleep in Hurricane near Zion. I know I keep repeating myself but this was et another amazing drive. Beautiful scenery and wildlife encounters on our trip to and through Zion National park. It was a beautiful day. Few clouds but mostly blue skies. Shoot some nice pictures. But tomorrow we would have all day to shoot in the part of the park you couldn't reach with your own car.

Hurricane

When we got to our hotel we decided to get some groceries before heading out to dinner. On Yelp Richard looked up some restaurants. After dropping of the groceries and freshening up a little we headed out for dinner. When we arrived on at the top scoring place according to Yelp it turned out to be closed because it only served breakfast and lunch. So we drove back and I mentioned spotting a restaurant earlier. It looked pretty hip and happening and was quite busy when we first drove through Hurricane. It was Barista's. When we entered the place was deserted. That wasn't a good sign.

The owner

After Richard yelled "Hello" finally someone showed up. It turned out to be Steve the owner of the place. He was pretty full of himself and seemed pretty high on coffee but it was entertaining. There wasn't a paper menu just some signs with too many choices so he explained what Barista's served. And man, he just wouldn't shut up. He kept on yapping about how they served all biological food. No antibiotics in the meat, fish all fresh nothing served from the fridge etc. etc. I shot some vid but something went wrong with backing it up so that's lost. So you either have to take my word for it or go to Hurricane and have dinner there. Yelp crushes the place but mostly because people think it's expensive and don't like or have a run in with the personnel. But I think the food was delicious and the owner was entertaining.
