Day #8 Bryce Canyon
After a wonderful breakfast at the restaurant of the Bryce Canyon Resort we headed out to see Bryce Canyon. The day started out pretty cold but eventually the temperature was real nice. Pretty soon after entering Bryce Canyon National Park we saw lots of wildlife just walking around minding there own business.
Shoot!
We first headed to the end of the park to shoot some pics. There were a few dark clouds but the sky was mostly blue and sunny. Then out of no where the sky started rumbling. Still the sky was mostly blue but on of the clouds was right above us and thunder scared me back to the car. I ran like my shoes were on fire. Don't get me wrong I love a good thunderstorm but not when I'm outside. So we decided to get out of the park to get some lunch at Ruby's Inn Cowboys Buffet. We drove by there just before entering Bryce Canyon. It looked promising but men what a dreadful place! Service was terrible food wasn't that good especially in regards to the prices. Waiters nowhere to be found and if found too busy with themselves or other waiters to serve their purpose. I'm gonna shut up now about that terrible terrible place!
Back on track
After a not so good lunch experience at the place I'm never gonna mention again we headed back out to Bryce Canyon National Park. Luckily the weahter cleared up when we got back. Again we saw a lot of wildlife. We followed a few deer to shoot them. With our camera's of course. We also shot the amazing scenery of Bryce Canyon. What a beautiful breathtaking park!
Sirens
When driving between viewpoints there seemed to be some ind of hold up on the other side of the road. We slowed down to see what was going on. Then we saw some other deer like animals (sorry no idea what they were :D ) in a valley. So we parked to the side of the road an jumped out of our car armed with our cams. There were several cars on the opposite side of the road shooting pics as well. While we were shooting sirens went of. The deer like animals couldn't care less and just kept doing what they were doing. But the cars started to drive away. But we kept on shooting and the car using the sirens stopped near where we were shooting. The park ranger in the car was really nice and told us that we could shoot some more pics but we weren't supposed to park our car where we left it so we shouldn't stay there too long. And she left.
Beautiful!!
Bryce Canyon is definitely a must see Park in the US. So much wildlife everywhere. And so much pretty sights. We're definitely going back there and take more time to absorb this amazing park. But a lot of the sights we visited deserve much more time then the time we spent there on this trip. Bryce Canyon Resort is a great place to stay. The people are friendly and they have a good restaurant. The interior of the rooms might be a little dated but you'll not be in there a lot anyway.
