On Monday I had arranged to head out to the Mulberry Farm to volunteer there for a few days. I set off early and decided that on the map it looked quite easy to walk to the project via the river and through the rice fields which seemed a much nicer walk than along a dusty red road. I set off and the walk was stunning it was really peaceful and the fields looked like a postcard. However after an hour and a half it became apparent that the walk wasn't as straight forward as it looked and I was heading further and further away from the river so I thought I best walk back to town. When I arrived back in town I got a message from Sengkao that it wouldn't be ideal for me to head over to the Mulberry Farm as the school was reopening that day and there was a big open day taking place. He had explained this to me previously and I had said that I would help out but he had obviously changed his mind and decided I would be in the way. I decided that the best thing for me to do would be to take a bus to a city called Luang Prabang to look at another project I had heard about called Big Brother Mouse. I booked the bus for the next day and then spent the rest of the day working on my blog.
