Last day in Sarajevo. Got up and packed everything up. I went for a very quick walk down to the old Yugoslavian barracks that were in use under President Tito. Although a dictator, his reign is generally looked on favourbaly as everything was rather stable in Yugoslavia, compared to the chaos that would ensue during the coming years. Slept in a bit this morning, but got up in time to go for a quick drive up to an old communications tower that had been destroyed during the war, and get some good views of the city as well. Made our way up there through some very residential backstreets and with another hand drawn Beno speciallty map in hand. Today always promised to be an interesting day, and it lived up to expectations! Met Ben early in the morning, who then took andrea, Petrina Romana (catching a ride to Mostar with us) and myself down to pick up the rental car we had organised for the day. Had a somewhat long day at work on Thursday, so simply stayed up all night and got ready for a very early taxi ride out to the airport on Friday morning. M4 was closed so took Andrea and myself a while to get out there. Checked in ok, and met Petrina before passing through security and getting breakfast from Pret.
