What an amazing day, I went cycling around Sukhothai historical park, OK is not Angkor, but interesting anyway! The site is quite small so 1 day is enough to see it all, the sun is in the sky and around lunch time the temperature rises at 32, not so bad thinking of the round 0 of a few days ago in London.
The main temple is Wat Mahathat, this is also my first stop, as usual flowers catches my attention more than anything else, I could spend hours staring at lotus floating gently on the ponds surrounding the temples.
There are few visitors so I have plenty of time to admire flowers, birds and temples. Cycling around the ruins is so relaxing, you really feel connected with nature, even my smile is back :-)
Early in the afternoon I head back to the guesthouse for a refreshing shower and a quick chat with a couple of friends.
It's still quite early but as I have no watch with me time is now regulated according to needs, now I'm hungry so it's dinner time.
Pad Thai is calling, and at 25 bath how could I say no, I'm tempted by a second portion but I think I will try something different, there is a stall that sells something like pancakes, however I have to finish my Chang first, 640ml.... :-S
Tomorrow I'm heading to Chiang Mai for some trekking, maybe an elephant ride but definitely a Thai cooking class, I cannot leave the country without trying at least one course! I know my friends back home will be more than happy to try my cooking experiments upon my return!
BTW the Chang won, I need to find out if they have a smaller size otherwise I wont last long.
