I had to wake up really early this morning to be at Mo Chit station before 7. After checking out at 6 I took a metre taxi, the driver was honest any cost me less than 140 bath. We arrived at the station in roughly 20 minutes so I had plenty of time to look for a bus to Sukhothai. I settle for a second class air-con bus that takes 7 hours to reach the destination. Departure was at 7.45 so I had an hour to wait, good thing that there is free Wi-Fi at the station :-)
The bus Was actually better than expected, comfortable reclining seats and not too cold. I'm sitting next to a very nice Thai lady, no Western in the bus, guess is too early.
It took us exactly 7 hours to reach Sukhothai, with a couple of quick stops for water and co.
Once at the station I managed to get a ride into new Sukhothai for 40 bath, a bit of a ripoff considering the short journey but better than the initial 60 bath.
The guesthouse, TR, is nice and clean, for 7 pounds per night I get an en suit with air-con, and I'm really closed to the night market. Time for a nap now, I guess I'm still jet legged.
Dinner time is approaching, as the room is provided with sockets I decide to blow dry my hair, in the past days I had to wait for them to dry naturally, with quite an interesting outcome, sorry no pictures available.
At the market I grab some beef on a stick, really spicy but good, I bet there were cashews nuts in the sauce, really yummy, even more because it cost me just 20 bath, for other 20 bath I get some fruit that looks like a watermelon, taste like a green apple, and is quite hard to chew in some parts, any suggestion? Cause I have no clue of what it was.
As not many people were around I decided it as the perfect time for a foot massage!! 200 bath for an hour of relax, really worth it, especially because tomorrow will be a long day of cycling under the sun.
This is it for today!!
