After Luang Prabang I headed south to Vang Vieng with my new husband. The bus journey was horrible or maybe it was the baguette, I really don't know. The view was stunning for the first few hours but then at 5 was getting quite dark. We arrived around 10 and I just wanted to sleep, I couldn't care the less bout the fact that it was Friday. Just a couple of attempts and we managed to get a room at the vv orchid, not too bad for 50.000 Kip per night. Saturday morning we decided to start with the most touristic of all the activities in Laos: tubbing!!! It was actually good fun especially at the second bar where you can play basket, volley and all sorts of drinking games. We were back in town by 5 the sun was going down and streaming down the river was no longer a good idea as it was getting really cold. We liked the water and the view so much that we decided to sign up for a caves tour + kayaking, this was absolutely a good idea, especially relaxing at one of the bars along the river. Third day in Vang Vieng, today we are going to take it slow, we will cycle to the blue lagoon for a day of swimming and sunbathing, the lagoon is smaller than expected but still good with ropes, slings and blue water. Everything was perfect until my new husband decided to drop the key of the lock for the bicycle while crossing the bridge, after 10 minutes search we decided to take a tuk tuk back. Just enough time for a quick shower and dinner before the night bus takes us to Vientiane.
