Day 1 8th January 2008

We started our travels in style- first class with British Airways- which was amazing, they pandered to us for 10 hours and ive never been given a menu on a plane before, what an experience!! That seemed to blur out the fact that we were travelling for the next 6 months and wouldnt see such luxury for a very long time!! Arrived at LAX airport very tired but made it into our first yellow cab all the way to venice beach. Our hostel was right on the beach, could see the ocean from our window. We checked out the area which was surprisingly weird and full of strange characters. Quite intimidating for our first night.
