We left Lakefield National Park and headed to the Musgrave Roadhouse for a toilet stop and photo opportunity. We continued up the Old Telegraph Line to Coen where we stopped for lunch and picked up a couple of supplies. Our aim for the day was the Archer River Roadhouse. We made it here about 3.30pm. From Laura we headed back into the Lakefield National Park. We stopped for a look at the Old Laura Homestead and ran into a Cape York Motorcycle tour. David got all excited and jealous that he wasn't with them. They said they'd seen a croc at Kennedy Bend so we decided to check it out. We headed off from Cooktown along Battlecamp Road. We stopped at Endeavour Falls not far out - nothing special about these ones. We left Cape Tribulation and headed to Cooktown via the Bloomfield track which is a 4WD only track. We thought this would be good practice for the Cape. The track had a few creek and river crossings which we were able to make no worries. David commented that the track was "dryer than a dingo's donger". He says that's how they talk up this way!
