Had a lovely day today. We left the hotel this morning and bought croissants and fruit from a street stall then went to starbucks and got coffee before returning to our roof terrace to have breakfast and plan our day. Themba and Dan dropped me off at the Greyhound station for the 9am bus which ended up being full so I had to wait for the 10am one. A very uneventful journey was followed by the biggest panic I've had on this whole 7 month trip. Got a very long and winding bus journey from Silver Spring this morning to a subway station to get into DC. Went to Capitol Hill and to the Library of Congress first, which is the world's largest library, it fills 3 buildings with over 26 million books, 36 million manuscripts and maps, photographs and sheet music. The library was established by an act of congress in 1800 when the seat of government moved from Philadelphia to the new capital city of DC....

Been chilling out with themba for a few days and been out a few nights locally too. Today we all went to Maryland's capital, Annapolis.
