Dan and Lu's Travels
Dan and I got the train into Toronto and spent the day there. Its a really lovely city, quite laid back.
We walked down to the St Lawrence Market and around that area, which is the old town. The market had an amazing sleection of fish and seafood and cheeses and meats and two fantastic delis.
We went into an antique light shop and got accosted by the uber camp owner who showed us everything in the shop and told us its history. He restores old lights and fittings and had some gorgeous stuff. He had some tapestries from the court of Louis XIV which he very casually pulled out of a drawer (this was obviously part of his whole 'act' but it was most amusing!)...
We then walked further east to the Brewery District, which is being redeveloped with little galleries and restaurants and bars. We had a drink there in the sun then walked down to the King Street area and had a few drinks before getting a hot dog and the train and then panicking on the bus from the GO station because we didn't have Jim and Val's address!! We got back fine though!
