Drove a couple of kms to a parking /picnic area so we could walk to the base of Minyon Falls. There's a look out point by the car park that looks over the top of the falls and you can see for miles and miles across the valley - all forest. We walked to the base, very windy and steep trek, and had a picnic by the waterfall which was lovely, then headed back up. Took us just under 4 hours (half hour for lunch) - 9kms!! Was quite impressed and suprised how much I enjoyed it (not just the picnic bit either). Played chess tonight then went to bed as I felt ill - must have been all the exercise......
