Dan and Lu's Travels
We chilled out today and then wandered around the cool second hand and antique shops before going to Lafittes for a beer. We were hungry and hadn't tried any creole food yet so found a really cute little place to try the local dish, jambalaya. The Old Coffee Pot has been open since 1894 and is very French with very friendly staff. Jambalaya was delicious - rice, tomato base, chicken, spicy sausage, all cooked with spices and seasoning.
We went back to the hostel after eating and Greg (hostel manager) and Mr Russell were seat out on the step. We got to talking to Mr Russell; he's from Houston and was quite drunk but absolutely hilarious! Sat outside talking until about midnight.
