Sorry its been so long we have no excues Dan and i are actually in sydney and have been for over a month but we have not written a blog about the great weekend we had at fraser island. We were then at the end of May, for two days and we went over with our friends Ronnie and Jonny unfortunatly we had to hire a 4WD as it is all sand roads and beach driving so Dorathy would not have made it to the ferry!!

We went over on Friday morning after stocking up with some good bbq food its just a short trip on the ferry and then we drove straight up the beach to lake mackenzie which is a huge fresh water lake with white silicon sand its beutiful we had a swim and a sunbathe then drove to find our camping spot and have lunch. The camping was basic and you had to pay $1 for hot water in the shower it was nice to ruff it in tents but we were all glad it was just a night as no one selept well. We were up playing s*** head (cards) but it seamed like all the other camps had gone to sleep untill about 10 oclock we heard a scream it was a man but sounded like a girl screaming i don't know what was in his tent but he wanted it out! He then slept in the 4wd the rest of the night and left very early in the morning think he was a bit embarresed!! On Saturday we drove up to ely creak which is a bit like a lazy river only we walked down it as it was a bit cold except dan who took the boggie board down! We then drove up the beach to sea a ship wreck and the pinicall (coloured sands) the last part of the day was spent at lake wabby which was emeralled green lake with high sand dunes all around with is great fun to sand board down into the water its just hard work walking back up!! We spent that night back on the main land at rainbow beach at a lovly camp site right on the water then left bright and early the next day to go to australia zoo.

Australia zoo is great well worth going they have lots of animals as you can see from the pictures and there are great shows with the crocs and other animals. We then went back to kieths in brisbain and stayed there with ronnie and jonny for there last week before driving back to sydney.
