We decided to book a tour for Rottnest Island having only been in Perth for a day! But it looks as though we picked the perfect day for it. It was 30 degrees and not a cloud in sight as the pictures show, with a nice breeze so it wasnt ridiculousy hot when riding our bikes round the island.

Rottnest is a tropical island off the coast of Perth, there are around 10 bays and about 5 huge lakes dotted all over the island. It is approximately 8km wide and we had to bike ride from one side to the other - and then back again!!

We started off at the island having some breakfast as soon as we docked, I had a full english which was beautiful and Shell attempted to eat a crossaint when a seagull stooped and stole it from her as she was just about to take a bite!!

The bike ride was very tiring but well worth it, there are venemous snakes and spiders all over the island that we were lucky enough not to see! We did however see some really cute little quokkas which are basically a smaller relative of the kangaroo family, shell actually stroked one while I tried to stare one out and lost!!

Went snorkelling around the first bay we came to "the basin" and we saw plenty of pretty big fish, had a really nice day there and we have just got back to the harbour in Perth where we have just booked a trip to Bali for four nights for the 21st of November in a five star hotel with deluxe ocean view room for 357 quid - cant wait!! But next stop for us is a tour of north west Australia - keep you posted
