G'day Guys,

How y'all doing, we decided to do a little tour eastwards to see wave rock and Kalgoorlie-Boulder with Shells Uncle Luke (as our informative tour guide) which did make it more entertaining!!

Our first stop was a 3 hour drive away in the 38 degree heat to see Wave Rock, this is a totally weird experience because its like this rock thats shaped like a wave. We thought it might be a good idea to walk to the top to get a few pics of the lakes. Unfortunately Shell was wearing her tiny flip-flops which were continuosly falling off and we had to drag her all the way to the top!!

We then decided that it would be an even better idea to travel to a little wild west town called Kalgoorlie-Boulder which ended up to be a 5 hour drive. Little did we know that it was renowned for its 100 year old brothels and titty bars! We went out on the night to a few of the local bars and had a lovely steak and mash, Shell played it safe with chicken though of course. We did lose Luke for about 45 minutes that night - he did however return with a cheery smile on his face!!

We stayed the night here and got up in the morning to go and pan for gold in them thar hills! Where Dan actually found some and Shell the little cheater was handed a nugget and claimed it for her own! We went into the ever-so claustrophobic gold mine where 6 of us crammed into the smallest mine shaft where we daren't fart.

Today was the hottest day so far on our travels and peaked at 41 degrees which is 106 fahrenheit!! It was so incredibly hot we couldnt even sit down in the car as we never parked in the shade.

Oh well had a good laugh and the return leg of the journey only lasted for 5 and a half hours, it was the most frightening journey ever as we drove back a thunder storm was brewing ahead and we ended up driving through a mini tornado (which the Auzzies call a wolly-wolly... only the auzzies hey) and shortly after this we drove through a plague of locusts! Despite all this we did make it home for about 7ish and ready for bed.
