Our next day out was to Masada and the Dead Sea, Masada was a fortress built by King Herod on top of a mountain in the Judean desert, theruins were very interesting.Just before the Romans conquered Masada, all the people there suicided as they would rather die by thereown hands.We also saw the cave where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.

After leaving Masada, we headed off to the Dead Sea where we floated as it is impossible to sink as there is so much salt in the water.Was a strange feeling and very hard to get upright at times but a lot of fun.
